Project Xin Habitat
XIN Aquadome Habitat System is a forward-looking project that reimagines how humans can live, work, and survive in ocean environments. newThis architectural concept combines modernist design principles with advanced Nordic timber engineering, creating a sustainable and stable floating living platform for future ocean habitation. Inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and contemporary marine technology, the structure integrates modular wooden construction, lightweight materials, and adaptive floating systems to provide a comfortable and resilient lifestyle on the sea.
Built upon a stabilized floating foundation, the platform is designed to reduce the impact of waves and motion through modern marine balancing technologies, buoyancy control systems, and multi-point structural support. The elevated living space enhances safety, ventilation, and panoramic ocean views while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment.
Using engineered timber such as Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and sustainable Nordic wood construction methods, the concept emphasizes low-carbon architecture, energy efficiency, and natural aesthetics. Large glass facades maximize daylight and connect interior living spaces with the ocean landscape, creating a calm and immersive living experience.
